Première compétition de biathlon
7.5 km sprint Femmes
Dans cette épreuve les athlètes s’élancent à tour de rôle, à intervalles de 30 secondes.
7,5 km représente 3 tours d’une boucle de 2,5 km.
Elles doivent s’arrêter à deux reprises au poste de tir pour effectuer cinq tirs.
Pour chaque cible manquée, elles doivent faire un tour de piste correspondant à une boucle de pénalité de 150 m.
Le gagnant de l’épreuve est celui qui obtient le meilleur temps, boucles de pénalité comprises.

Ces résultats font qu'il n'y aura que Mégan Tandy dans l'épreuve de la poursuite, c'étaient les 60 premieres de cette course qui pouvaient y participer

Les conditions sont exécrables. Il tombe des torchons.
Dommage que Leguellec ait raté une cible à son 2e tour.

Je riais intérieurement en écoutant le biathlon... Vers la fin la télé se met à suivre le Norvégien Hanevold. Je m'écris devant la télé "Hanevold ? Fait longtemps qu'il roule celui-là". Et la commentatrice de dire toute suite après qu'il avait 40 ans et que c'était exceptionnel qu'il compétionne encore à son âge... Ma mémoire des précédents JO ne me fait donc pas trop défaut !
