Paris Hilton is set to sign for Celebrity Big Brother after being offered more than £300,000.
She is desperate to raise her profile in the UK and is prepared to be locked up for another three weeks in the Channel 4 house.
A Big Bro source said: “We told Paris, ‘Name your price’.
“We’re in firm talks, and it would be a fantastic coup to get her.”
An insider said Paris is aiming to show she is more than an “heirhead socialite”.
They added: “She wants people to see that she’s not a bimbo or a wildchild.
“The only time anyone hears about her is when she’s been up to no good — or saying something ridiculous.
“She’s actually smart and funny, with lots of interesting things to say.”
“She would easily be the star of the show — but obviously she won’t do it unless the money is right.”

C'est ce matin que je vais choisir mon contrat selon mon ancienneté. Je ne suis pas très avancée sur la liste et pourtant, je dois avoir un bon contrat puisque je suis enceinte et que je dois prévoir mon congé de maternité.

Tu as sûrement lu plus loin, mais si ce n'est pas le cas, j'ai obtenu un 80% de tâche ce qui est excellent compte-tenu ma position sur la liste. L'an dernier, j'ai eu seulement un 60 %. Je vais enseigner à trois classes de 1ère année, faire de la morale avec 3 groupes et de la science avec un autre.
C'est ce matin que je vais choisir mon contrat selon mon ancienneté. Je ne suis pas très avancée sur la liste et pourtant, je dois avoir un bon contrat puisque je suis enceinte et que je dois prévoir mon congé de maternité.
