Le chanteur de rock britannique Pete Doherty a été libéré sous caution après avoir été appréhendé à Londres pour détention présumée de crack.
Le leader des Babyshambles, dont les problèmes de drogue sont récurrents, été interpellé au cours du week-end au volant de sa voiture près de son domicile dans l'est de Londres, en raison d'une conduite en zigzags.
Le musicien de 27 ans et les deux autres passagers ont été conduits au commissariat de Bethnal Green. Les substances retrouvées à bord du véhicule sont en cours d'analyse.
Ses problèmes de consommation de drogue ont été portés à l'attention du grand public à la suite de la publication l'an dernier de photos du mannequin Kate Moss, apparemment en train de consommer de la cocaïne dans un studio où les Babyshambles enregistraient un album.
Pete Doherty a récemment écopé d'une amende pour avoir agressé un journaliste de la BBC devant un tribunal londonien.
