(bum) - Paris Hilton est heureuse que l'émission The Simple Life soit terminée.

Paris Hilton a réagi aux nouvelles annonçant la fin de la téléréalité The Simple Life, insistant sur le fait que l'émission était encore au sommet de sa gloire et qu'elle est heureuse de se retirer à ce moment.

La jeune héritière a fait un malheur avec cette série, accompagnée de son amie Nicole Richie.

Malgré les cinq années de vie de cette émission, le réseau E! a annoncé lundi dernier (30 juillet) que The Simple Life allait être retiré de leurs ondes à partir de l'année prochaine.

Hilton ne serait pas du tout perturbée par cette nouvelle et elle a déclaré à Entertainment Tonight : « Ça a été cinq belles années et nous avons eu tellement de plaisir. Je suis heureuse que ça se termine comme ça. »

Britney Spears has publicly battled with her mother and ex-husband Kevin Federline (their divorce became final on July 30), but the latest crisis in the singer’s life involves her children, Sean Preston, 22 months, and Jayden, 11 months.

Sources tell Us Weekly that Spears’ friends and family have become concerned about the pop star’s mothering skills.

Case in point: The tooth fairy may be making early visits to 22-month-old Sean. “He’s having dental problems because Britney just shoves a bottle of juice in his mouth all the time to stop him from crying,” a family insider tells Us.

Another source says that, in April, Spears “asked an L.A. dentist if he would whiten her kid’s teeth!” The dentist refused.

The bizarre behavior doesn’t stop there. Spears and her kids became high-end squatters July 22, when they toured – then took over for several hours – a Pacific Palisades home, on the market for $6.5 million.

Upon arrival, her bodyguard removed the FOR SALE sign, then went to her Beverly Hills home to fetch some of their belongings. The result was a home seller’s nightmare, with Spears and her kids trashing the house before money exchanged hands.

“She ate tacos on the bedroom floor!” a source says of the home. “She got crumbs and grease everywhere. She let her babies and her dog roam the floor. She left the bed a mess – I don’t know what’s wrong with her.”

Photographers Say Britney Threatened: "I am going to kill you!"

In a statement released Tuesday by their lawyer, celebrity photographers Kyle Henderson and Andrew Deetz allege that at the Wynn Las Vegas on July 27, Spears bodyguard Julio Camera punched and kicked Deetz without provocation while Spears ran after Henderson.

Though a security guard allegedly prevented her from reaching him, the photographers claim that the pop star threw a baby bottle at Henderson while screaming, "I am going to kill you! I am going to f-ing kill you!" According to the photographers, Spears then told them to get a restraining order against her if they wanted to stay safe, though even then, she would hire someone to kill them for her.

Both photographers claim that at no time were they a threat to Spears or her two children, Sean Preston (22 months) and Jayden James (11 months).

Their statement also alleges that Camera had been threatening Deetz prior to the Las Vegas incident, telling him and other photographers that he had "unfinished business" with Deetz.

Though no charges have been filed, the statement alludes to an anticipated civil suit against Spears and her bodyguard on behalf of Deetz. The photographer claims that he received multiple injuries in the attack, which continue to require treatment.
