ce que je me suis demandé cette fois-ci que je n,avais pas perçue l'an passé......maman bougon a-t-elle fait exprès de lui donner les fausses cartes d'identité ?....pour la voir décamper avant que Jr lui passe la bague au doigt ?........on y découvre toujours de quoi de nouveau chez les Bougons.....sont pleins de surprises.

Regarde donc ça si elle est brillante cette fille.  Sais-tu que je me posais la question à savoir pourquoi elle lui remettait ces cartes aussi vite.  Ah ben là, je penses que tu l'as l'affaire.  Les Bougons me semblent une famille tricotée serrée qui ne veut pas d'intrus dans leur vie.  Ben de l'allure ton affaire,j'achète ça moi. Ouais, je serais portée à croire que ça explique tout. Coudonc, tu es donc intelligente toi. Bravo! ta déduction est loin d'être bête.

Je me suis passé le même commentaire en le revoyant une 2e fois...on le voit dans le visage des parents Bougons quand ils décodent le pot-aux-roses de Lettonie...wedding...wedding!

C'est pas juste qu'ils sont tricotés serrés et qu'ils ne veulent pas d'intrus, ce qu'ils ne veulent pas surtout ce sont des crosseurs ou se faire crosser et là Junior était pour se faire crosser dans tous les sens du mot par la Miss "Wedding".  Si la fille aurait été une crosseuse comme eux mais qui veut crosser avec eux et non contre eux, ils l'auraient acceptée.

A Twisted Sitcom Makes the Simpsons Look Like Saints

MONTREAL, Dec. 23 - In "Les Bougon," Quebec's hottest television sitcom in more than a decade, members of the Bougon family feed their catatonic grandfather beer with a straw. They call their dog bin Laden. They steal from the closets of wealthy relatives and consort with a corrupt cop.

Not to be confused with "The Cosby Show," "Les Bougon" is more like a politically incorrect version of "Father Knows Best," with twists so wicked and crude that even fans of "The Simpsons" might blush. Led by an unemployed, cynical father wizened to the ways of a decadent society, the Bougon family is a platoon of sociopathic mongrels.

Paul Bougon, an unemployed dockworker, bribes the mail carrier to keep mum about the fraudulent pension checks delivered to him every week. His daughter Dolores is a prostitute who brings her clients home. His wife, Rita, offers phone sex to groaning callers.

The family adopts a Chinese daughter, Mao - actually everyone but Rita thought she was a boy through the first season - because they figured that as an Asian she would be good at technology used in computer fraud.

The oldest son, Junior, is an expert shoplifter who steals a Jaguar to impress a woman on their first date and then, after dessert at one of Montreal's swankiest restaurants, lifts a mouse from his pocket in an effort to avert paying the bill. The black sheep of the family is Uncle Fred, because from time to time he tries to get honest work.

Outrageous as it may be, in the second season of "Les Bougon," up to two million viewers watch the half-hour show Wednesday nights - nearly one out of every three people who live in Quebec Province. It has dominated local television awards and revived the fortunes of public television Radio-Canada.

It is hard to imagine such a show on the air in the United States, where vulgar depictions of the poor are generally out of bounds. But here in Quebec, the province with the most generous social benefits and a place where political conservatism is rare, the show is a hit with a popularity that crosses class lines.

For François Avard, 36, the show's writer, who was once arrested for stealing food at a Montreal luxury hotel during an anti-hunger demonstration, "Les Bougon" is not a critique of welfare cheats at all.

"The message is subversive," he said in an interview. "We show poor people for the first time winning; we show poor people with power. At the beginning I hoped people watching the show would go out and steal in the stores and screw with the system and cause chaos and then rebuild the system."

That has not happened, but cast members say people come up to them with their own pet scams all the time.

The Bougons may be crooked, but Mr. Avard notes that they love one another and protect one another to survive in the show's depiction of a society where politicians also lie and cheat, businessmen give campaign contributions to gain tax loopholes and bureaucrats are only too happy to take bribes.

The show's edgy satire and depiction of a poor family taking on the system seems to capture the mood in Quebec in these days of scandals, particularly one involving the Liberal government's handing out contracts to friendly Quebec advertising firms that did little work but gave the governing party big contributions. When the tabloid Journal de Montréal ran a series about corporate scandals and tax evasion early this year, they called the series "The Real Bougons."

The show is so popular that the producers have dubbed two episodes in English for national broadcast next year.

"You learn to like the Bougons because they are taking advantage of the system we sometimes hate," said Annie Arsenault, 29, a fan of the show who is a benefits specialist at a Montreal consulting firm. "They deal with the problems they have and how society treats them."

Yet there are critics and advocates for the poor who are concerned about what viewers will learn from the program, whatever its intentions.

"The thing I find dangerous is it becomes a very reactionary kind of social satire," said Nathalie Petrowski, an entertainment columnist at La Presse. "Is it criticizing poor people? It is not intended that way, but it can be very confusing."

Eric Bondo, coordinator of the Common Front of People on Social Assistance, said, "I'm upset because they don't think about the consequences of what they are showing." However, he added, "The most intriguing thing is poor people like the show."

Fabienne Larouche, a co-producer of the show, shrugged off such criticism. She said "Les Bougon"was a commentary on the shortcomings of the Quiet Revolution of the 1960's and 1970's, when Quebec's conservative society is said to have lunged toward big government programs that created more bureaucracy and corruption than benefits for the poor.

"When you go to the hospital, you wait 15 or 20 hours unless you know someone," she said. "We are one of the most taxed people in the world, but there are two systems - one for the rich and one for the poor."

The Bougon family's solidarity - a growing theme in Québécois television and film these days - actually make the Bougons appear sometimes morally superior to the society outside their ratty walkup row-house apartment.

In one episode, Paul Bougon gets angry at Dolores for her cocaine habit. "Our only weapon against the system is our mind, and we can't mess that up with drugs," he screams.

In another, the Bougons set up a local politician for blackmail by inviting him into their house and having Dolores sit on his lap half nude while Paul takes his picture. To get off the hook, the politician agrees to wash piles of dishes in their filthy kitchen.

"Life expectancy in this neighborhood is a dozen years below the average in this great country of ours," Paul tells the politician. "So do you mind if we spend the time we have left not doing dishes?"

C'est bizarre cet article du NYTimes, apres avoir vu le premier épisode des bougons je pensais exactement le contraire de ce qu'ils disent dans l'article.  J'me disais que c'etait vraiment surprenant de voir un show de meme au Québec à cause de la mentalité trop répandue de mere poule qui niaise pas les gens faibles, tandis que ça m'aurait pas surpris que ça soit un show américain imitant le sarcasme des Simpsons ou South Park ou bien un show européen sans tabous.  L'auteur de l'article doit pas avoir fait beaucoup de recherches ou bien on a juste des opinions differentes.

arghhhhhhh que c'était bon, faisait longtemps que je n,avais pas rie comme ça    


moé travailler avec des drogués ??????? vraiment le personnage de Dolorès resplendissait de tout ses feux ce soir, elle les a tous fuckés les uns après les autres........

Super bon ce soir.......Dolorès était à son meilleur.    C`est pas long qu`elle a entraîné les 2 "thérapeutes" dans des rechutes. Plus personne pour leur faire de thérapie.  

J`ai rit aussi quand elle a dit : heille moé travailler avec des drogués....    

Belle fin aussi......sais pas si suis sensible ces temps-ci, mais je venue émue pas à peu près quand le père Bougon s`est approché d`elle pour lui dire qu`il était fier d elle,    et quand sa mère l`a accueillie aussi.  Ils font durs toute la gang, mais ils ont bon coeur entre eux.

C'était super bon et moi aussi comme Laurry, j'ai trouvé l'accueil de Dodo très émouvant.  Chaque émission a toujours une belle leçon de vie et de sensibilité à nous communiquer.  J'aime beaucoup cette émission qui diffère de tout ce qu'on voit ordinairement.  C'est une famille de fraudeurs sauf qu'ils possèdent de belles valeurs côté familial.  Ils savent demeurer unis en toutes circonstances.

C'est toujours un grand plaisir de regarder cette émission et me semble qu'on en tire un petit quelque chose, chaque semaine.

ouais mais pas avec Mononcle Bougon par exemple.  Lui ils sont toujours prêts à l'écoeurer.

Très drôle en effet.  Il ne savait comment faire pour lui dire qu'il ne voulait plus continuer la relation et c'est lui qui se fait flusher d'aplomb.  Le plus drôle c'est qu'il n'a pas apprécié, il s'y attendait si peu.  Maudit qu'ils sont drôle ces Bougons.  J'adore Mao, elle est drôle et bonne comédienne cette petite.  Très évoluée aussi mais il ne peut en être autrement, elle est à la bonne école pour apprendre la vie des grands.

Oui c'était vraiment bon cette semaine.....Dolores......quelle bonne comédienne celle qui la fait !  

J'adore la musique quand on voit Junior avec le ralenti...
