Passions' Spike: The New Alistair--This week, Jessica's drug-dealing pimp of a husband sinks even further. "Spike is the master of manipulation and is becoming a pro at blackmail," notes his portrayer, Chris Maleki. "It's like Spike is taking over where Alistair left off." Thanks to a file Big Al gave him in Rome, Spike knows all about Sheridan's husband, Christoher Boothe, including the fact that Crane hired him to get Sheridan's mind off of Luis--and that James isn't really his son! Naturally, "Spike threatens to expose him. If he does, Chris would lose Sheridan, whom he has fallen in love with, "says maleki. "Everything could explode in Chris' face." Spike forces Chris to help him get his hands on Crane goods. "He wants access to the mansion, codes to off-shore accounts," explains the actor. Robbing the estate is first. "He wants to go in for anything they can find that's of value, like art of jewelry," he says. "When Spike gets in there, he finds other things that he can use to blackmail Chris." In addition, "Spike is going to find more secrets about people in Harmony, which could be the downfall of everything," he adds. But can this thug really pull off an Alistair-style scheme? "Spike is a lot smarter than people give him credit for, "smirks Malecki. "People refer to him as a slimy guy, but Spike is running the show now."

The Buzz...Passions fans have strong opinions about who Luis belongs with, but who are cast members rooting for, Sheridan or Fancy? We were talking about it onstage for a minute, so I asked how many people for Sheridan and then how many for Fancy", shares Emily Harper. "The cheers seemed about 50/50." Harper is aware that fans are leaning more toward Sheridan. "When we were signing autographs at a recent event, there was no holding back. Some fans would love to see the long-lasting relationship with Sheridan and Luis progress, because they have loved each other for so long. But others were tired of it for that same reason and find this a refreshing storyline. Either way, they were VERY opinionated."

Hit: Theresa gets a clue! Theresa's pursuit of Ethan has now stopped.

Eric is asked what is on his iPod? "The bands Journey and Def Leppard are running around together this summer on tour. It's inspired the downloading of their complete collections onto my iPod."

Ethan is more than a little upset this week. What’s got him all revved up? Our super keen intuition tells us it might have something to do with Theresa kissing Jared. But will he do anything about what he witnesses? Is he bothered enough to claim this woman for himself? Probably not, but if a kiss makes him jealous, then just think what the two of them sensually dancing will to the man!

Meanwhile, Luis grows suspicious of Chris. What’s Sheridan’s husband done to raise her hunky ex’s eyebrow? Will he get to the bottom of what’s bothering him? Since he is a cop it’s a good bet, but what else does he have on his plate? Since there is that unresolved issue of Fancy still hanging out there, you can count on her mixing things up. What does she do this week to try and get his attention? Will he succumb to her considerable wiles? He just might as she is hard to resist, but she might also have Sheridan’s blessing behind her. What’s that? The buzz is Fancy asks Sheridan’s permission to date her one and only true love. Will she give her the okay? Is Fancy in the free and clear to pursue Luis?

As for Chris, it seems Spike has a special request for him. What does the slimeball want from him? Will he comply with what Spike demands?

Elsewhere, Paloma decides on a new career path. What has she decided to do with her life? Will she succeed?

At the same time, Miguel suffers a major tragedy. What happens to him? Apparently, he loses his hearing. How does this happen? Will it ever be restored? Don’t get left behind, keep up with all the major events this week on Passions.

“Passions” newcomer James Stevenson (Jared Casey) has experience with sex, love and secrets, which is a good foundation to have as Theresa’s new love interest. Can another man really get Theresa to forget about Ethan? If anyone can do it, it would be the charming and sexy Jared Casey, played by the equally charming and sexy James. Keep reading to get the scoop on James’ original passion, his take on Jared and his prior soap connection.

You’ve been taping scenes for a few weeks now. How would you rate your experience so far?
Overall it’s been like an 8. It’s a lot different from primetime. It’s a lot of work and it’s real quick. It’s like doing a movie in fast, fast forward. I’m having fun though. Everybody is just really nice, so I’m happy about that.

What was the audition process like?
It was pretty quick and painless. The casting director brought me over to the executive producer’s office during my reading, which is unusual. So I knew I must have done somewhat of a good job. I tested on-screen and then within a couple weeks I had the role. When I auditioned for my last show, I had to test 4 times. That was a long process.

Your last show was a UPN comedy, right?
Nope, it was a drama.

Oh, sorry.
No, that’s all right. That was the thing – nobody saw it! (Laughs) The pilot was first called “Wild Life,” then “Sex, Lies and Secrets” but that sounded too much like “Sex, Lies and Videotape,” so they changed it to “Sex, Love and Secrets.” “Wild Life” was ten times better, but for marketing purposes, they thought the new name would work better. Obviously, it didn’t work. The pilot was great though, and I worked with some great actors.

So “Passions” threw a lot of material at you from the very beginning. How do you memorize all those lines? Is it difficult?
It’s not too bad when it’s conversational. Yesterday, I taped scenes where I was going off and it was very quick. Even when you’re upset in real life, you start to lose your train of thought, so that was tough. Lindsay (Hartley; Theresa) just had these little interjections of “But – “ and “I need – “, so I basically had to do a monologue where my train of thought kept changing. That was extremely difficult. But you just have to break it down.

What’s your take on Jared?
Jared’s a cool character. He’s a lot of fun. I don’t know as much as I wish I did about him. He’s pretty suave. He’s the type of guy that you stand back and say, “Wow, I wish I was more like him.”

Jared is fond of teasing Theresa. Are you like that in real life?
Nah. I’m pretty laid-back.

Are you like Jared in other ways?
When I first met my girlfriend, I spit out a couple sentence fragments and then walked away because I couldn’t talk. So I’m not nearly as suave as that guy! Hopefully, playing Jared will help me learn. As far as having something in common, Jared’s well-traveled and I am as well. We’re both well-rounded. But I don’t have nearly as much day-to-day confidence as Jared Casey.

What’s been your favorite scene so far?
What we taped yesterday was a lot of fun (FYI the scenes air Friday, August 11). It was real drama, real-life kind of stuff.

Are you planning on watching your first air show?
Absolutely. Of course, I will pick myself apart. I know my little ticks and it helps to watch myself to become aware of them. The only reason I watch is to learn and hopefully grow. I’ll never be satisfied.

Had you heard of “Passions” before landing the role?
Oh, yeah. My girlfriend (Nadia Bjorlin, ex-Chloe, DAYS) was on “Days of Our Lives” so I knew all the people from “Days,” and she also knew a lot of people from “Passions.”

I read that you grew up on a small horse farm in Tolland, Connecticut. What was that like?
It’s chill. There wasn’t much there. I rode dirt bikes, rode horses, and played sports. That’s basically it, man. It was fun. I’m going back there for vacation. Nadia and I will go back there, visit my family. We’re having a party and then we’re gonna sit and do nothing.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I went to school originally for jazz music, singing. I enjoyed it a lot, but I’m a better actor than singer. I discovered that while I was in school. I did a play and fell in love with it. But I still write songs and play guitar and sing. My style of music is acoustic rock. Sort of like the lighter side of Dave Matthews. Other than my music, my spare time consists of the gym and work. And having a girlfriend takes up a majority of my time, you know? (Laughs)

Trop drôle Kay qui tape la bouche et les mains de Siren .Pilar est stupide après que Theresa a laissé Ethan tranquille àç cause qu'il l'a trop niaisé elle dit a Theresa d'allez avec Ethan .Sheridan c'est une Ethan numéro 2 elle aime Luis mais reste avec Chris à cause de James et qu'ils sont marié.Paloma veut renter dans la police     mais Luis veut pas.Selon un Spoiler Fancy va essayer de rentrée dans la police pour être plus près de Luis.

Moi quand elle a échappé sa tasse,je me suis dit c'est à elle de choisir Luis.C'est vrai qu'elle est manipulée par Chris on a su aujourd'hui par Spike qu'il s'appelle Christopher.Je crois que Sheridan a peur de perdre James si elle quitte Chris.C'était beau aujourd'hui Jard et Theresa ont danser la salsa et d'autre dance latine.

J'ai manqué le au moins 30 minutes de Passions mais quand j'ai ouvert ma télé.Jared va faire applications au Crane industries et demain va découvrir que Theresa est madame Alistair Crane.Siren est libérée Miguel va dans douche et elle va le rejoindre.une vrai ninphomane siren.Paloma et Fancy veulent devenir policièremais Luis ne veut pas dit que c'est un travail dangereux.Sheridan est au poste de police et n'aime pas que Fancy se rapproche de Luis en devenant policière.

ET: So how does it feel to be the one of the best in your acting field?

Lindsay: It is a honour and i am very pleased and thankful to Justin and all my fans.


Et: You are currently playing the Role of Theresa in Passions and so how do you feel about the new developments in her life.

Lindsay: I must say it is very nice to be able to have new lines. For the longest time i remember i always said things like "we both know you love me" or "fait means for us to be together"! I always had to practice new ways of saying those words with new facial expressions and i must admit i was running out of ideas but the new change is very good. I think Theresa is growing more mature and she is really opening the door to new possibilities and i am very glad that it is finally over between Ethan and Theresa!

Et:Are you saying that you are not a fan ?

Lindsay:You know it was great to work with Eric and i really enjoyed the drama and the experience but i am not a Fan at heart. Tne truth is that Theresa is a very honest girl and even though she might seem very selfish to the other characters she is very kind deep down. She has gone through alot of things and she has learned some survival tips. She knows that no one in her game will play by the rules and she is playing it dirty like the others do but i undrestand her reasons. She has not really been happy running after Ethan and he has always rejected her even though he has wanted her more than anything in his life.The funny thing is that before he met her he was going to marry Gwen as a way to create a company merger between the 2 families but when he met Theresa he was introduced to the concept of courage and he realized that he has the power to chose and he is not obligated to do anything! Eventually though, he married Gwen and spent more time with Gwen and he forgot all that he had become with Theresa and lost his courage. Theresa is a strong character and she stands up for her self and her interests but Ethan he is a weak person!

ET: So are you happy with Jared and the Theresa storylines?

Lindsay: i love them, It is a very nice change and i get to do new things and the character that i play will get to see the through meaning of Happiness. I mean in a few months Theresa will be like" Ethan who ??" I think that this is a great match and would do wonders for the show!

ET: are you planning to stay with the show?

Lindsay: Well it all depends, i very happy with my part at the moment and i am having alot of fun but i am always open to new things! One thing is for certain, if i see the bright light that i have always looked for i will definetly consider leaving the show permenantly.

ET: Are you happy with the career path that your husband, Justin Hartley has chosen?

Lindsay: I am thrilled with the progress that he has made and i am 100% supporting him no matter what. He is going out and reaching for his dreams which is very brave and smart and i am there to cheer for him no matter what!

ET: Are you planning to have a second baby? Are the rumours true?

Lindsay: Well,no, not at the moment but we have always planned for more children! I have heard that many times before but i guess with the baby boom that is happening in Hollywood they now expect anyone to be pregnant the minute they wear some thing baggy! (laughs)!

ET:Before i forget who would you say is the biggest enemy of Theresa in this show?

Lindsay: Ethan and Gwen. They have both done some really harsh and terrible things to Theresa. Ethan has always pretended to be sorry about them but the truth is that he would do anything for his so called marrige responsibilities.

Pilar is shot! A week of Pilar pushing Theresa to tell Ethan and Julian the truth about Little Ethan's paternity ends in a life-threatening mess. "She goes to the Crane Mansion to say goodnight to her grandkids," explains Eva Tamargo. Then, she remembers she has a treat she wants to leave for her daughter. "She's on her way to Theresa's room when she hears a noise," previews the actress. "She's startled by it because she knows the whole staff is off for the night. Nobody should be in the house other than the nanny and the kids." A shaken Pilar reaches for her phone to inform the security guards. "She starts to speak, then hears somebody behind her," says Tamargo. "She doesnt finish speaking to the guard because she turns around and -lo and behold- she meets her fate!" Spike, who is creeping around stealing anything and everything he can get his hands on, shoots an innocent Pilar. "She's left lying in a pool of blood,"sighs the actress. Unless she borrowed her cop son's bulletproof vest, things are not looking good for Luis' wounded mom.
McKenzie returns 8/21--no word on her first airdate.

VCR Alerts--8/21--Chemistry reignites between Luis and Sheridan when they dance the tango. 8/22--Kay tells Miguel that she loves him, while Sheridan finds Chris with Spike.

Will Galen Gering take time off after the birth of his son? Galen will not be taking paternity leave. He lives close enough to the studio that he can travel back and forth if his wife and baby need him. Plus, we have a hiatus the first week of September.

Se havent seen Sam's brother Hank. Will he return anytime soon? We have sent the character of Hank out of town and have no need to recast the role at this time.

When will we meet Ivy and Julian's other daughter? There are no plans at this time to see their daughter.

Will you be recasting the role of Gwen while Liza Huber is on maternity leave? We have no decision at this time.

We havent seen Rachel in months..where is she? Rachel is still in Harmony.

We havent seen Grave since she bolted town with David in 2004. Now her oldest daughter is engaged. Will she be returning? There are no plans at this time to see Grace.

Chad Proposes...Since she is no longer his sister, Chad pops the question to Whitney this week on Passions. "This is one of those proposals that's simple and real," praises Charles Divins. "It's not corny or meoldramatic. Chad is at work and figures the timing is right, so he gets down on his knee and gives Whitney a serious ring. Chad is a Crane now, so he's got his girl all iced out." Whitney accepts the ring. "She's so happy to be back with her man." "She's in shock, drinking it all in. Life is good for Whit, for once. It's been a long time and a lot of whipping your back and wearing virtual reality headsets. Now she can be normal and happy." Or can she? Chad has made and received several mysterious phone calls recently. "Who's it going to be on the other end?" wonders Divins. "I have no idea. This is either a character revelation or a different side of Chad, which is fun to play. Chad is Alistair's son now, so he does have the genetic evilness running through his veins." And remember, "this is Passions, baby," winks Divins. "Happiness only lasts for three or four episodes.

Sneak Peeks (week of 8/14)--Julian's temper gets the best of him. Jared gets roped into carnival planning. Kay leaves Siren exposed.
8/17--After a heavy-duty workout, Luis gets a Fancy surprise in the shower.

Week of 8/21--Luis and Sheridan rekindle their feelings. Jared offers Theresa a shoulder. Chris and Spike get nailed. Gwen's scheming lands her in trouble.
