A residency requirement in Malawi has prevented Madonna from adopting a second child from that African nation, a judge and a lawyer told the Associated Press on Friday.

The news service described the judge as a witness not involved in Friday’s court ruling, and the lawyer as another who was present at the time of the decision. Both the judge and the lawyer spoke on conditions of anonymity.

The residency requirement for prospective parents is 18 to 24 months in Malawi. Madonna has homes in New York and London.

Hayden Panettiere dives with a few sea creatures — sharks, turtles and manta ray — on Wednesday afternoon (April 1) at Ocean World in Manley, Sydney, Australia.

The 19-year-old Heroes hottie, who dated 31-year-old co-star Milo Ventimiglia, tell UK’s InStyle that she generally goes for older men. “I don’t date boys my age,” she said.

Hayden continued on about future family life, saying, “I always said I want four kids – I love kids. I would love to be a mom and to have a family – for Italians, it’s the most important thing you can have.”

As for her kids growing up in Hollywood, Hayden shared, “I think you have to be a pretty strong person to enter the industry that young and not be affected by it. I was lucky, but I’d never want my kids to be subject to that much criticism.”

Fergie Owns 500 Pairs Of Shoes!

Fergie, who just released an affordable shoe collection aptly called Fergie, admits she owns more than 500 pairs of heels, flats and pumps.

“I’m a girl, and I love accessories,” she tells Life & Style. “It’s one of the reasons I have huge closets, and we keep making room in the house for more closets. I don’t like to throw anything away.”

And Fergie, 34, says she and new husband Josh Duhamel, 36, might be making room for something else after she finishes touring with the Black Eyed Peas.

“I’m not going to get pregnant on the tour because I’m too physical onstage,” she says. “So after that, we can talk about babies.”
