Madonna & Sean Penn -- The Secret Dinner Date

Madonna must have tucked Jesus into bed early last night, because she had an extremely long dinner date with another man ... a man she used to be married to ... a man by the name of Sean Penn.
The couple, who had a volatile marriage from 1985-1989, hit up the Alain Ducasse restaurant at the St Regis Hotel where they spent more than three hours dining together.

'Hannah Montana' no more: Show reportedly ending after fourth season

It's time to grow up: "Hannah Montana" will say good-bye to Disney Channel.

The popular Miley Cyrus sitcom is reportedly shutting down production after its fourth season, which begins shooting on Jan. 18, confirms "Access Hollywood."

Rumors that "Hannah" was going to that big concert stage in the sky began with a New York Post story that quoted Disney Channel Worldwide's Adam Bonnett, senior VP/programming, "You never know in this business . . . but right now we're scheduled to wrap [forever] after shooting this new batch of episodes."

It's not certain how many episodes will be taped for the final season, but the paper says Ray Liotta and "Two and a Half men" star Angus Jones will be guest starring for a couple episodes. Regardless, enough episodes will likely be taped to last through 2011, so the "Hannah" hype will continue for at least that long.

The last season reportedly mirrors Cyrus' own life, as her character must choose whether to give up her pop alter ego or to grow up and be herself.

Cyrus, 17, gets adult with a "Sex and the City 2" cameo, in theaters on May 28, but before that she'll star in the coming-of-age drama "The Last Song."

'Hotel Chevalier': Natalie Portman accidentally renews interest in 2007 short film

In an interview for the February issue of Elle UK, actress Natalie Portman says that while she doesn't shy away from playing sexual creatures, she's a bit cautious about how much she's willing to show on screen.

"I'm definitely not a prude about sex or nudity, I just don't want to do something that will end up as a screen grab on a porn site."

That combined with an old inaccurate report that Portman had regrets about a past role where she took it all off -- "Hotel Chevalier" -- has Internet users scrambling to find pictures from the movie.

"Hotel Chevalier" was a a 15-minute short film from 2007 that was an important companion piece to Wes Anderson's feature film "The Darjeeling Limited" the same year.

In "Chevalier," Jason Schwartzman's character Jack has a romantic encounter with his ex-girlfriend (Portman). While Portman is not in "Darjeeling," what takes place between her and Schwartzman in "Chevalier" is critical to how Jack acts in the the "larger" story of "Darjeeling Limited."

Turns out what Portman really regrets is the torture scene from "Goya's Ghost" which she wrote about in a first-person article for Parade magazine back in 2007.

"I'm not someone who has a lot of regrets, but last year I did something that I wasn't comfortable with and I'm really sorry I didn't listen to my intuition. There was a scene in a movie that felt inappropriate for me, but I didn't want to make waves. So I let myself get talked into it, even though it shook me up. From now on, I'm going to trust my gut more."

Tensions Run High as Hailey Glassman and Jon Gosselin Move On

Is Jon Gosselin once again finding solace in the arms of a new woman?

According to Internet reports, Gosselin is already dating again – having hooked up with a woman named Morgan he met while skiing in Utah. "He's a guy who doesn't like to be alone," says a source close to the father of eight. "He has a girl that he likes, but they have been taking things very slow."

Also moving slowly? Gosselin's plans to settle his differences with ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman, who allegedly trashed the Manhattan apartment they shared, according to his attorney Mark Jay Heller, and whom Jon is accused of shoving during a pre-holiday argument.

No Meeting, So Far
Despite reports to the contrary, Glassman and Gosselin have yet to meet, says her lawyer Stephanie Ovadia. Perhaps that's because considerable bitterness remains between them.

Says the Gosselin source about Glassman: "Jon feels much better without her. He felt that she was sucking him for all his money and not being faithful to him. He is happy to be done with her."

For her part, Glassman is attempting to take the high road, having recently moved to a new apartment in New York's Murray Hill neighborhood. "I've been through way too much for a 22-year-old, and the amount of stress and pain I've endured is unfathomable," Glassman tells PEOPLE.

"[But] in life, you need to be an optimist, I've learned. You have two options: You can either be sad and depressed and pity yourself, or be the best you can be. Like Robert Frost says, 'If I could sum up life in three words, it would be 'Life Goes On.' " (The poet's exact words were, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.")

Still, Glassman can't resist taking one more potshot at the fallen reality star: "Congrats to the new girlfriend and I wish [Jon] luck with his move to Utah. I mean, I'm not sure if he remembers he has eight children back in Pennsylvania."

And in what might be a reference to her former boyfriend's now-cancelled TLC series, Glassman adds: "Remember Jon – those eight little people you hung around with while you were running your legalized sweat shop?"

Says the Gosselin source: "He will always love his kids. His kids are what keep him going."

Casey Johnson's Mother Will Raise The Daughter She Leaves Behind

This is probably what's best for Ava since she's been with her grandmother for some time now.

Casey Johnson's mother Sale and her husband Ahmad Rashad will raise Casey's 3-year-old daughter Ava with help from Casey's sisters.

It's unknown if Sale and Ahmad will formally adopt Ava, but the little girl has been with Sale for the past few months now since Casey couldn't take care of her properly.

Snooki Gets Bashed For Wanting The World To Be Tanner


Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is pissing people off way beyond the reaches of the Jersey shore. A member of the Parents Television Council is going on the attack after Snooki's recent appearance on The Jay Leno Show. Miz Snooki said her highest aspiration in life was to "change the world" by having tanning beds installed in everyone's home. Marybeth Hicks, of the Council, is not pleased.

What? You don't love skin cancer?!

Marybeth considers the show "glorifying" behavior that is "silly" and "dangerous" and this latest stunt by the big-haired, orange guidette has put her over the edge. She says:

"It's disconcerting that [she] could have any sort of influence or be a role model … or advocate something like tanning beds that could cause cancer… This [show, 'Jersey Shore'] is a great example of sheer exploitation for the purpose of chasing ratings."

Well…YEAH! What's your point?!

Brittany Murphy's Husband Suicidal???

Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack is said to be suicidal in the aftermath of his wife's sudden death last month.

His mother, Linda Monjack explains:

"Simon is exactly as you would expect someone to be who has just lost the woman he loved. Some days he wants to kill himself, and other days he seems to be coping better. He is distraught. I speak to him everyday, and he is often in tears."

Understandable, of course, but hopefully, someone is keeping an eye on him. Hurting himself won't do anyone any good. Course, if this is all brought on because he feels guilty for something, then he's hurting a lot of people by keeping his mouth shut.

Linda also helps shed some light as to why her son initially rejected the idea of an autopsy. Simon simply couldn't bare the thought of having his wife "cut open," saying:

"He realized pretty quickly that he had to agree to it, and he's waiting for the results. He wants to know what happened."

As do we and all the other people who loved her.
