Andy Dick Arrested



We haven't heard much from Andy Dick lately, and I'd hoped it was because he was doing better, but it doesn't sound like it. TMZ reports that Andy was arrested in West Virginia this morning for two counts of felony sexual abuse.

He is currently in custody at the Western Regional Jail. He is due to be arraigned sometime today.

Dick was in town performing at the Funny Bone in Huntington, WV.

Dick is currently on probation over an incident at a pizza joint, where he was arrested for sexual assault. He copped a plea to battery.

Wyclef Jean isn’t as charitable as he seems.

The Gone Till November rapper — who’s currently raising money for victims on the Haiti earthquake — apparently demanded $100,000 to appear at charity fundraiser in 2006.

Internal e-mails, obtained by Gawker, show that FXB International — a French charity — were forced to cancel a benefit concert to raise funds to build a new school and community center in the village of Lasere, Jean’s hometown, because the singer’s personal performance fee made the event too expensive.

Wyclef started his personal charity, the Yele Haiti Foundation, to raise relief funds for Haiti following Hurricane Gustav in 2008.

We are set to go with Friday, August 4th for Wyclef to perform. Just want to check on the "deal":

- performance fee to Wyclef of $100,000 paid via Platinum Sound

- costs for band separate, probably in the $15,000 range (fees, equipment, etc.) to be paid to Platinum Sound

- $150,000 guaranteed net from the evening to be earmarked for Wyclef’s home town of Lasere using the FXB model, but with this money going through Yele Haiti (and identified as a joint initiative with FXB) with no admin overhead to Yele… straight to Lasere

- the Lasere project to include building a new k to grade 9 school combined with a Yele Center, as well as a basketball court that the community can also use as income generator because they can charge for attendance

- net above the $150,000 to go to Yele as un-earmarked contribution.
