Jennifer Aniston Donates $500,000 to Haiti Relief Efforts

Jennifer Aniston is the latest celebrity to donate a huge amount of money for Haiti's recovery. The star has reportedly given $500,000 to relief efforts currently under way in the nation after a destructive earthquake left the area in and around the nation's capital of Port-au-Prince in a state of chaos.


According to E! Online, the "Friends" star gave $500,000 to Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and AmeriCares. Aniston, who joins a number of Hollywood's biggest names who have already given to the cause, was a participant in last Friday's "Hope for Haiti" telethon. The benefit drew 83 million viewers and a gross average audience of more than 24 million viewers in the United States, and it has raised more than $61 million in donations from the general public to date.


George Clooney, who helped to organize "Hope for Haiti Now," has given $1 million to relief for victims, as have Sandra Bullock, Leonard DiCaprio, and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (joint donation). Gisele Bundchen donated $1.5 million to the cause, and Madonna donated $250,000.

Will Ferrell Welcomes Third Son

Hours after performing 'Free Bird' on the final Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, comedian Will Ferrell and wife Viveca Paulin welcomed their third son.

Axel Ferrell arrived Saturday morning, Jan. 23, in Los Angeles, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively, adding, "All the Ferrells are well." Baby boy joins older brothers Magnus, 5 ½, and Mattias, 3.

Ferrell and Paulin, 40 – who met in an acting class 15 years ago and wed in 2000 – announced the pregnancy in September.

Ferrell, 42, will next appear in The Other Guys, set to be released in August.

A frail looking Gary Coleman is wheeled to a waiting vehicle as he is released from an over night stay at a Utah County Jail. Coleman was pulled in yesterday on an outstanding arrest warrant relating to a domestic violence case and was held over night with a $1720 bail. Once bail was posted Gary Coleman was released to his father and brother in law. Gary looked weary and tired and was due for a dialysis treatment today which he missed because of his incarceration. He reportedly attends a dialysis center 3 days a week due to kidney failure as a child.
