“Eclipse” Eclipsed by “Despicable Me”



It has earned a whopping $237 million domestically and $456 million worldwide, but “Eclipse” got knocked out of the #1 spot at the box office this weekend by “Despicable Me.”

The “Twilight Saga” flick landed in second place with a $33.4 million take, followed by “Predators” ($25.3 million), “Toy Story 3” ($22 million) and “The Last Airbender” ($17.2 million).
Meanwhile, “Despicable Me” raked in $60.1 million to score the top spot in box office sales thanks to Steve Carrell and Jason Segel.

Coming up this week, we’ll see Nicolas Cage star in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and Leonardo DiCaprio’s new flick “Inception.”

Tiger Woods: Hoping for British Open Glory

Gearing up for another shot at a major championship, Tiger Woods was spotted roaming the grounds of St Andrews during a practice session in Scotland on Monday (July 12).

The golf superstar will be among the elite field challenging for British Open glory, as the annual tournament kicks off this Thursday, July 15th.
Away from the links, it has just been reported by TMZ that Tiger's legal team have filed legal papers declaring that Woods is not the father of Devon James' child.

The former flame had claimed that her 9-year-old boy was fathered by Tiger - though DNA tests have since proved otherwise.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson: Together Again

They definitely have a tumultuous past together, and last night (July 11) Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were spotted enjoying each other’s company again.

The “Mean Girls” babe and her celebrity deejay ex-girlfriend headed over to Matsuhisa Japanese restaurant in Beverly Hills for some dinner and conversation.
Following their public outing, LiLo and Sam hopped into Ronson’s car and drove back to Lindsay’s West Hollywood pad together.

In related news, Miss Lohan may have been sentenced to 90 days in jail, but legal experts say she’ll likely only serve two weeks to a month.
