Govan has revealed that he thinks David will be voted out in tomorrow's eviction.

John James agreed that the public might be sceptical about David's "religious phantom", but claimed that Ben is more likely to leave the house.

Govan said of David: "Always the centre of conflict. Every time there's an issue, he's there and he loves it."

John James responded: "If I have to [put] £5 on it, I would have to say Ben, but I'm not sure how people are going to view the whole religious phantom going on."

Govan is the bookies' favourite to be evicted from the house.

Housemates have penalties task vs Germans

The housemates will take part in a penalty shoot-out challenge against their counterpart German Big Brother stars tomorrow, it has been revealed.

Housemates from both shows will take part in a live link-up, with the winners getting the chance to watch the second round World Cup game between England and Germany on Sunday.

Writing on the DS forums, Big Brother creative director Phil Edgar Jones confirmed: "The BB house will take on the German BB house in a penalty shoot-out.

"Any non-English housemates are allowed to exempt themselves from the task and won't be required to wear an England shirt. But they can join in if they want."

Jones claimed that initially bosses wanted to do a housemate switch with the Germans, similar to the one done in Big Brother 4, seeing a UK contestant being sent out to act as the goalkeeper. However, those plans have been scrapped and housemates will instead shoot at a big board with holes in it.

"We've had to do something the Germans could do too and is easy for both sides to police," he said. "[Football manager] Barry Fry will be popping in too to give a pre-penalties pep talk. We are also thinking we should get towels over the deckchairs pretty early in the morning."
