Did Vanessa Hide Her Party Girl Past From Nick?


On June 3, a British newspaper published several shocking photos that showed Lindsay Lohan holding a sharp blade to a mystery brunette's neck as she posed provocatively for a camera. The next day the photos hit the web and the identity of Lohan's partner in knife play was revealed: former MTV TRL host Vanessa Minnillo, 26.

The shots were taken at musician Sean Lennon's apartment in the wee hours of June 16, 2006, after a night out at NYC hot spot Bungalow 8. But when the news broke, was Minnillo's Mr. Nice Guy, Nick Lachey, completely blindsided by the revelations about her hard partying past?

The answer is likely no. In fact, Lachey, 33, had already spent quite a bit of time defending Minnillo's wild-child reputation when they first started dating, just weeks before the scandalous shots were snapped.

"A lot of Nick's friends were complaining about what a party girl she was," says a Minnillo source. "There were many nights in the beginning when Vanessa was a total mess and Nick didn't know what to do."

"Vanessa used to be a completely crazy, wild girl," confirms a Minnillo pal. "She'd be the girl that would jump on the tables at every nightclub."

So will the evidence of the outrageous episode in Minnillo's past jeopardize their relationship? Those close to the couple, who recently moved in together, maintain that the scandal won't be a romantic roadblock.

"Nick knew when they got together that she had a party-girl past. But the past is the past."

Splash NewsEight years after Jack Wagner and Heather Locklear, 45, first steamed up the screen on Melrose Place, the couple came full circle on May 28 when they were seen kissing and hugging during a walk on the beach in Malibu, California.

But while Melrose fans are cheering the real life reunion of this iconic onscreen couple, Locklear's ex-husband, Richie Sambora, 47, is decidedly less enthusiastic. The two wed in December 1994, just months after the actress and Wagner ignited on the show.

"Richie was always suspicious that Heather and Jack's love scenes were a bit too passionate," says a source close to the Bon Jovi guitarist. "Now that they're dating, his paranoia seems confirmed."

However, multiple set sources insist that the pair were platonic -- after all, Wagner was married at the time to his General Hospital sweetheart, Kristina Malandro (The onetime costars divorced in 2006).

Antonio Sabato Jr., who worked with the pair on Melrose Place (and acted with Wagner, 47, on General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful as well) tells Us that the couple of six months work because they have a history of friendship. "They're able to trust each other and not have to deal with the bull that goes into meeting new people," Sabato says.

Or, as Melrose Place writer and director Charles Pratt Jr. tells Us: "They're both good-looking and charming. It would be hard for me to figure out what they WOULDN'T see in each other.

(bum) - Mauvaise semaine pour Paris Hilton. Après son incarcération le week-end dernier, voilà que son label, Warner la laisse tomber.


Déçu des faibles ventes de son premier disque, Paris, et certainement des événements qui l'ont poussé en prison, Warnr Music a décidé de ne plus s'occuper de la carrière musicale de la starlette.

Après des milliers de dollars investis dans l'enregistrement du CD, une tournée de promotion et la production du clip Stars Are Blind, Warner se montre déçu des ventes du disque qui n'ont pas dépassé la barre des 500 000 copies.

Un porte-parole du label a confié à IOL : « Nous ne prévoyons pas lancer de nouveau matériel de Paris Hilton dans un avenir prévisible. »

Paris Hilton séjourne en prison depuis dimanche dernier. Elle devrait passer 23 jours en prison pour avoir conduit son véhicule alors que son permis de conduire était suspendu.

Quel dommage!
