Ausiello on Grey's, Moonlight, House, Gossip Girl and More!
TVGuide.com
Question: The spoiler you gave last week about someone replacing Meredith as narrator in Episode 11 of Grey's Anatomy is just killing me. Can you give me anything else?— Melissa
Ausiello: The new narrator is not Callie.
Question: Is it Bailey? — Dani
Ausiello: The new narrator is… yes, it's Bailey. And as I teased last week, there's a reason behind her temporary promotion — and it ain't pretty.
Question: OMG! Something's happening to Bailey? Nooooooooooo! — Laurie
Ausiello: Physically? No. Emotionally? Yes. Let's just say that random scene last week of Bailey at home with her husband and kid will make a lot more sense when Episode 11 airs early next year.
Question: If retail sales were down over the Thanksgiving weekend, it's your fault! I read your blog post about the things you're thankful for and then spent the entire holiday weekend looking at YouTube clips from the best soap ever, Santa Barbara. Any chance we'll get to see the reruns on SoapNet anytime soon? — Chris C.
Ausiello: I think you stand a better chance of seeing Nancy Grahn and Pam Long riding a tandem bike together through Central Park. As the suits at SoapNet remind me every time I harass them at press tour, Santa Barbara's unprecedented use of popular music makes rerunning old episodes cost-prohibitive. And because music was such a vital part of the show's DNA, stripping the songs out and replacing them with cheaper tunes is simply not an option. Bottom line: Until SoapNet feels that there's enough of a demand to justify the hefty price tag, we'll have to relive the
magic of SB through YouTube clips like this one. And this one.
Question: You love frozen grapes, too! I knew you were a kindred spirit. I've been eating them since I was a kid and people thought I was a nut. Another guilt-free divinity? Sugar-free creamsicles. — Paige
Ausiello: Not a big fan of the creamsicle. What else you got for me?
Question: Gimme some Moonlight scoop. I'm so hooked on that show it's not even funny. — Mandy
Ausiello: A little birdie with big fangs tells me that there's an assassination attempt made on Josef (Jason Dohring) in the Dec. 14 episode. But the major news is that we discover a secret that Josef has been keeping from Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) for over 40 years, and it may (read: will) explain why he believes Mick and Beth can never work.
Question: Any scoop on Friday Night Lights? — Roger
Ausiello: A little birdie with big shoulder pads tells me that the final pre-strike episode — aka Episode 15 — ends with a doozy of a cliff-hanger.
Question: I will blab to Gargamel the location of every Smurf I know unless you do this one thing for me: Tell me if Supernatural ever plans on exploring the good side of the supernatural world. You know, guardian angels, the spear of destiny, stuff like that.— Jeff
Ausiello: TV Guide's HR policy strictly forbids me from negotiating with terrorists, but I suppose I could make an exception just this once. Here's your answer, courtesy of Supernatural creator Eric Kripke: "We have a firm belief in the cosmology of this show that evil, in terms of demons, etc, is very tangible and real and out there. Angels and supernatural forces of good are much more elusive. But in my opinion — and the opinion of the writers — if God is out there, he isn't sending angels to fight the battles; he's working through a very human, sweaty, outgunned and overwhelmed group of hunters. For us, these are the angels. I think the point that's very important to us to make is that the forces of good work through humans who are flawed and imperfect and trying to make the right decisions. And that's the way God works. So we try to present that."
Question: I will bathe you in Diet Raspberry Snapple if you can tell me that there is going to be a Gossip Girl soundtrack. — Jen
Ausiello: I have to hand it to you Ausholes, your bribes are getting more disturbing creative with each passing week. While I can't guarantee you that there will be a GG soundtrack, I can assure you that the thought has crossed Josh Schwartz's mind. "We're figuring that out right now," he says. "I think we're gonna come up with an aggressive sort of digital way to do it that really fits with our audience." BTW, if you haven't read Damian Holbrook's awesome Q&A with Schwartz — featuring a smorgasbord of O.C. gossip — hop to it!
Question: It's that time of year: October Road's back! Please give me some scoop! — Jamie
Ausiello: OK, but just so you know, I'm doing this out of a sense of pity, not obligation. I mean, did you see the ratings for those first two episodes? Ouch. Anyway, next week's episode is fairly action-packed, so let's get to it: Hannah chooses Ray, which leads Nick to finally realize that it's time to move the frak on. It also leads Road to go the flashback route, showing us Nick and Hannah's first encounter as kids and then when they dated as teens. Meanwhile, Owen learns the details of Allison and Ikey's affair by going on Nick's "infidelity tour," and Eddie and Hannah are hiding a big secret from Nick that Eddie is chomping at the bit to spill.
Question: I promise to abandon all other Pac 10 school allegiances — and I do have other allegiances — and root for USC in whatever bowl game they play in if you can tell me when Sci Fi will air BSG: Razor again.— Lee
Ausiello: I hope one of those other allegiances isn't UCLA, 'cause them Bruins are gonna get their asses handed to them this Saturday in the Coliseum — and I'm going to be there to witness the whole thing firsthand! I'll be sitting in Section 20, Row 81, Seat 16, but please, I beg of you, don't try to find me. I'm looking forward to being out of the spotlight for a few days. (Prior to the game, say around 11:30-11:45 am, I'll be standing in front of Tommy Trojan with my friends Holly and Sheryl. But please, if you're in the area, resist the temptation to come over and ask me to pose for a picture. This is Booty's day, not mine.) But back to your question: Unfortunately, Sci Fi has no plans to rerun Razor. However — and this is a big however — the flick will be available on DVD beginning Dec. 4.
Question: Thank you so much for the news that Life was picked up for a full season. — Sarah
Ausiello: I did good, right?
Question: I love Chuck! — Melissa
Ausiello: Well, you’re in luck, cause that one was renewed, too!
Question: I just read a rumor that Katee Sackhoff might be leaving Bionic Woman. Is it true? — Rob
Ausiello: What it is is a moot point, since there may not even be a Bionic Woman for her to come back to. There's only one episode left in the can, and it airs tonight. And given the ratings, there's no guarantee it'll go back into production when the strike ends.
Question: I'm dying to see clips of you hosting last month's Scrubs Farewell Tour. Help! — Michael Ausiello
Ausiello: OK, that's freaky. Not only is your name Michael Ausiello, but, like me, you too are infatuated with me. Spooky. And the coincidences don't end there: It just so happens that this week's Ausiello Report vodcast features exclusive, never-before-seen footage from the Nov. 10 Scrubsapalooza. I couldn't have set this up better if I had written the question myself!
Question: Any spoilers on House?— PE
Ausiello: Yes, and it's a fairly big one. Even though Cutthroat itch was the final doc voted off House's island last night, I have it on good authority that we have not seen the last of Anne Dudek on House. For more on that, head over to my Ausiello Report blog later today.
Question: In your last vodcast, you said you were going to tell us who was up for the role of Dana Delany's ex on Desperate Housewives. So, I guess my question to you is, are you a man of your word? — Jason
Ausiello: I am most definitely a man of my word when put on the spot in front of billions of people. The actor who was up for the role of Katherine's infamous ex once had his *r***s *a**n by *n***n* *****n*.
Question: Got anything on CSI Miami? — Shakera
Ausiello: As you know, Elizabeth Berkley has been cast as Horatio's ex-wife and the mother of his teenage son. Well, what you may not know, is that she's trouble with a capital T that rhymes with P that stands for Prevaricator. Not only does she have a history of con artistry, but she may also be a murderer.
Question: Any news on the "name" actor CSI: NY is trying to get to play a childhood friend of Mac's on CSI: NY? — Rebecca
Ausiello: The "name" is Frank Grillo of Prison Break/Guiding Light fame, and his first airdate is tonight.
Question: My guess for your "Hit Show's Star Wants Deal of the Century" blind item is Anthony LaPaglia. — SILuedde
Ausiello: Nope, but you're driving in the right neighborhood.
Question: I'm single female from Russia and look for liaison. My name is Marinochka and I'm 27 y.o. Need you! — Marinochka
Ausiello: If anyone in our I.T. department is reading this, it looks like that new spam filter has sprung a leak. Either that or our demo has expanded to include illiterate Russian whores aged 18-34.
Question: No mention of Xander on Criminal Minds? Seriously? I kind of expect more from you. — Tricia
Ausiello: And whose fault is that? If you must know, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to get your hopes up. Yeah, that's it. With the strike and all, there's a very real chance that his brief appearance last week may be the first and last we ever see of him.
Question: Oh your Ausiello-ness, do you know which Darling child isn't Tripp's on Dirty Sexy Money?— Jenn
Ausiello: Yes, and so will you after watching tonight's episode. (Spoilery hint: Blair is safe. Ditto the twins.)
Question: If the writers' strike comes to an end soon, can 24 still make the 2008 schedule? — Allan
Ausiello: That's a very good question. And, in light of reports that a deal could be imminent (please God let it be true), it's one Fox is wrestling with as we speak. One unsubstantiated rumor currently making the rounds is that the network may opt to split the current season of 24 in two, airing the first 12 episodes in the spring and the last 12 in the fall. Not sure how I feel about that. Actually, that's a lie. I'm fairly certain I hate it. --Message edité par geneviève-2 le 2007-11-28 18:14:38--
