Ex-Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM were the only survivors of the September 19 plane crash that killed four. Barker, 32, opened up to Us Weekly for the first time since the crash.
On his fear of flying: “I hate planes. My biggest fear ever is to be involved in a plane crash, so when that happened … well, I’m just thankful to be alive! I’m just grateful to be here at all.”
On how he’s doing” “I am doing the best I can possibly be. I’m so anxious to get out of here. …I’ve just been in surgery after surgery. I have third degree burns basically from my feet up to my waist and both hands. One of my hands was second degree burns and one was third degree burns. I’m trying to have a quick recovery and play the drums again and be able to hold my kids again. [Barker has two children, Landon, 5, and Alabama, 2, with Moakler.] I’m going nuts not being able to see them and spend time with them!”
On eating meat again after over 25 years as a vegetarian “I need protein from food rather than just protein supplements. I changed my diet. I would do anything I possibly could if they said like, ‘There’s a possibility you might heal faster if you do eat meat or just change your eating habits.’ So I did. I don’t regret it at all, I feel so much better.”
On how much longer he’ll be in the hospital? “Oh gosh, I hope not much longer. I sit here and I read books and watch TV. I think if this surgery went well, I’ll be here for at most two weeks.”

Britney Spears is having an amazing week with her iTunes No. 1 and the video still to come tomorrow, but yesterday wasn't as much fun. During a shopping trip, the pop star was involved in a car accident with a paparazzo in another vehicle. It's unclear who was at fault, but the good news is that Brit was in the backseat instead of behind the wheel. Meanwhile, her lawyer rejected a plea deal for a $150 fine and a year of probation and opted to go to court for her driving without a license case. The trial will take place on October 15, and her attorney is hoping that Brit will walk away with no more than a $10 fine since she corrected the violation. Britney is no stranger to drama but we'd hate to see her good streak interrupted by a mistake from her past.

Dance group Storm performs with a waxwork figure of High School Musical star Zac Efron as it is unveiled at Madame Tussauds on Thursday in London, England.
At a recent London press conference, Zac explained that the cast did not realize what an impact High School Musical had on the international scene. “The first time we realized what High School Musical had become was on the first international press tour,” the 20-year-old actor said.
Zac went on to say that, “We went all through Europe and were meeting so many fans, kids who were very excited to tell us how much High School Musical had influenced their lives and how much they had connected with it. That was something none of us expected.”

Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas called it quits earlier this month, Us Weekly reported earlier today.
The 19-year-old Jonas Brother apparently broke up with the 18-year-old teen country superstar over the phone in early October after dating for several months.
Says the insider: “He broke her heart.”
Her MySpace page even confirms this. Taylor crossed out the descrïption of her prince charming, which seems to perfectly describe her ex-boyfriend:
“I’ve never been the kind of girl who needs a boyfriend. Plus, guys don’t ask me out because they know I’ll write songs about them. But I’m also the girl who still believes prince charming exists somewhere out there– fully equipped with great hair and an immature sense of humor.”
Sounds like Joe is the reason for the teardrops on her guitar!
