29-Year-Old Australian Says Mel Gibson Is Her Father
Mel Gibson is allegedly facing a legal battle from a young Australian woman who insists she is his love-child. Carmel Sloane, 29, claims her mother Marilyn was picked up by Gibson when she was hitchhiking in Australia in 1976. Gibson, who then worked at an orange juice factory in Adelaide, apparently then romanced her in the back of his wagon - but Marilyn, who alleges she then fell pregnant with Carmel, never saw him again after their steamy interlude.
Legal papers will be served on the Hollywood actor this week. The star will have to either admit paternity or face a DNA test.
Carmel tells British newspaper the News of the World, “I’m not doing it for his money. I just want to meet the man I’ve always known was my dad - and for him to get to know his grandson.”
Marilyn recalls, “I was a slim young woman in tight-fitting jeans on the side of the road when a station wagon stopped. Mel turned to look at me with those amazing blue eyes and I was mesmerized. He said, ‘Where are you going?’ I said, ‘A long way from here.’ When we stopped for the night he persuaded me to join him in the back. I told him, ‘If anything happens and I get pregnant I’m going to come looking for you.’ He replied, ‘I’m going to be famous, you’ll always know where to find me.’”
Carmel adds, “We have no choice but to go legal so that we can get to the bottom of this once and for all. A simple DNA test will sort it out.”

Victoria Beckham is reportedly set to star in Tom Cruise’s new Scientology
The Spice Girl has apparently been lined up to play an alien bride in The Thetan - based on the bizarre sci-fi cult, which believes in alien life forms.
Victoria is said to be “thrilled” about getting her big Hollywood break. A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Victoria is really hoping to make a go of it in Hollywood. This could be the perfect start for her, with good pal Tom Cruise in charge.”
The 32-year-old - who made her first attempt at acting in the 1997 Spice Girls movie Spice World - will play the bride of an alien leader called a thetan, which Scientologists claim is an immortal spiritual being, present in all humans.
Cruise - who is bankrolling the project himself after it was rejected by all the major film studios - is said to have picked Victoria for the role after being impressed by her “comic genius”.
Victoria - who is married to soccer superstar David Beckham - is currently looking to buy a property in Los Angeles after recently landing a presenting role on a new US fashion program.

Demi Moore is going back to work after a long hiatus!
Demi Moore took a self-imposed hiatus from acting after deciding to raise her family instead - and is only returning because her kids became sick at the sight of her.
The Ghost actress gave up acting after her flop 1997 film GI Jane and, apart from a cameo in Charlie’s Angels, spent most of her free time raising children Rumer, Scout and Tallulah after she divorced from Die Hard tough guy Bruce Willis in 2000.
And Moore says she only appeared in new Emilio Estevez movie Bobby because her children pestered her to get out of the house and start acting again. She says, “I knew if I wasn’t with them they could have bigger problems than normal teens. I wasn’t retired from acting, I figured I’d do it again when I could. “Now work has become important again because my children were starting to ask if I was ever going to work again.”
