On May 17, 2007, The CW announced that the show would return for a fifth season, but as a mid-season replacement. The show will be "dramatically retooled and set four years into the future - after the characters have already graduated from college." Until the show's return to the schedule, the network has plans to post diaries online to fill in the intervening years in the characters' lives. [1]
Hilarie Burton confirmed on TRL that the show's fifth season will focus on their lives after college, citing the reason for this as "We've seen the High School dramas not do so well while they're in college, and another thing, we've done everything that everyone does in college". She said this will "enable them to do flashbacks and a lot of cool stuff with the characters". The fifth season now has a 22-episode order.[citation needed]
Chad Michael Murray has stated that Lucas will be a best-selling author releasing his second book, and will also be Coach of Tree Hill's High School Basketball Team. Lucas will help a struggling 18 year old and become very depressed and look to his friends for help.
In a trailer that has aired in France for Season 5, it stats that "Brooke Davis will become a fashion icon" and that some will pursue their dreams as they show Peyton then display a cut to a large gathering of individuals. C'est enfin demain ! Je trouve juset ca platte.. dans le spécial de la rentrée du 7 jours.. y'a un peu trop de punch a mon gout ! Ca dit qui est enceinte .. parle de certain couple.. et en sait un peu trop sur l'accident .. ! tout ce que j'avais hate de voir a la télé .. je le sais parceque je l'ai lu !

Enfin la premiere de la nouvelle saison. J'étais bien contente que ca recommence. Lucas et Brooke meme si je le savais que ça allait arriver. Skill est drole et il a une place dans le générique du début , c'est le fun. Apres le frere a Peyton, aucun rapport. Et Nathan et Haley , c'était touchant. bonne émission. Et Dan , quel numéro

À vrai dire, j'ai toute écouté la série de la saison 1 a 4 sur ce site. Je n'avais jamais écouté et tout le monde m'en parlait alors je m'y suis mise. Je suis maintenant accro !!! C'est la version originale sous titrée en francais. Les voix sont beaucoup mieux en anglais selon moi. J'ai vraiment fait le saut quand je les ai entendues en francais ce soir. Ca fait vraiment étrange !!
