Charlie Sheen's Mercedes-Benz stolen and pushed down cliff
Troubled actor Charlie Sheen was woken up to shocking news that his car had been stolen and crashed down a cliff.
The 44-year-old star reported the vehicle missing in the early hour of the morning on February 5, according to reports.
The four-door Mercedes-Benz was later found on its side below a cliff, near to the Mulholland Drive area in Los Angeles.
It is not yet known if Sheen knew the person who stole the vehicle.
The Hollywood star first knew something had happened when he was woken at 4am on Friday by operators of his car alarm system telling him his car had crashed, according to news website TMZ.
Sheen reportedly then alerted his own security team who discovered his SUV had been stolen.
Los Angeles Fire Department Erik Scott said 32 Los Angeles firefighters including two helicopters were involved in the search and rescue mission.
They found the vehicle 300 to 400 feet (90 to 120 meters) down a cliff, upside-down in the brushy ravine.
An infrared scanner was also used to search for any victims at the crash scene - but police say there's no evidence anyone was in the car when it went into the ravine.
Police are still investigating and hunting for a suspect.
