TVGuide.com Exclusive: Scissor Sisters Will Perform on PassionsScoop! Superhot band Scissor Sisters will appear on the NBC supernatural soap-opera Passions, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

"They're big fans of the show — they called us!" NBC Daytime VP Annamarie Kostura happily tells TVGuide.com. "We got a call from their record label, Universal Motown, saying that the Scissor Sisters are huge fans of Passions, they're touring with their new album and they'd like to be on our show. I spoke to Passions' head writer, Jim Reilly, and he said 'Sure!' So Passions' musical director, Paul Antonelli, and I went to the first concert of their new tour and we met with the band. They were just hysterical over how much they love this show."

Ms. Kostura says Scissor Sisters — that's Jake Shears, Babydaddy, Ana Matronic, Paddy Boom and Del Marquis — have agreed to tape two episodes in December. They will hit the air during the first week of February.

In their first episode, the band is conjured up by Endora (Nicole Cox), the precocious little daughter of Tabitha Lenox (Juliet Mills), who has lived in the fictional New England town of Harmony for 300 years. Tabby and Endora are witches, of course. So when they want music, they don't just turn on the radio. They zap up the Scissor Sisters themselves! The band does a command performance of their hit song "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" in Tabby's kitchen.

Their second episode finds Scissor Sisters performing "Land of a Thousand Words" at Harmony's local nightclub, The Blue Note. Both songs are off their just-released album, Ta-Dah.

In related news, NBC has decided to air same-day repeats of Passions online at NBC.com, starting today! New episodes will be available daily after 6 pm Pacific Time. This is the first time any daytime drama has made complete episodes available for streaming online. Whatever makes the soaps accessible to a wider audience is very cool by this suds fan.
