Paul Newman est décédé aujourd'hui chez lui au Connecticut à l'âge de 83 ans, des suites d'un cancer. Il était marié à Joanne Woodward, et avait 5 enfants.

(Avec PC) - L'acteur américain Paul Newman est décédé, vendredi, à l’âge de 83 ans, des suites d’un cancer.

Le légendaire acteur, Oscar du meilleur acteur en 1987 pour La couleur de l'argent, s'est éteint vendredi.

Un ami de longue date du comédien, l'écrivain A.E. Hotchner, avait révélé en juin que Newman luttait contre un cancer.

Paul Newman s'est illustré dans des films comme Luke la main froide, L'Arnaque, Butch Cassidy et le Kid, Exodus ou encore La Tour infernale.

Le comédien, grand amateur de courses automobiles, était également un philanthrope: tous les bénéfices de sa société produisant des sauces sont reversés à des oeuvres caritatives. Plus de 200 millions $ ont ainsi été distribués à ce jour, selon le site Web de l'entreprise, Newman's Own.

Je trouve ca toujours triste voir s'éteindre des légendes, on a toujours l'impression qu'ils sont éternels.

Le seul grand acteur américain que j'avais rencontré ici au Québec!!!

Quand on parlais de ses yeux, j'ai compris à ce moment la pourquoi!

Un acteur/un homme que j'ai toujours apprécié, toujours à sa place!
